Very Short Essay on Spring Season

Category: Essays and Paragraphs On June 20, 2019 By Various Contributors

Spring Season

Spring is a season of joy and colour. Of the four seasons, spring is probably one of the merriest, full of nature’s beauty. Spring is the season that follows the cold of winter and leads to the transition into summer.

Spring season generally falls in the month of March and ends in June in the Northern Hemisphere and the timelines are quite similar for the south as well. It is often a welcome weather following months of winter’s chill. It is also the season of bloom and growth when nature rejuvenates itself.

Every culture has different ways to welcome the spring season. In India, Holi is the ceremonious way of welcoming spring. It celebrates the colours of spring by spreading the joy and merry associated with spring. Easter is also a spring celebration that marks new beginnings and change of seasons. The Songkran of the Thais and the Nowruz of the Persians are other festivals that welcome spring. They are joyous celebrations that mark the beginning of a season of growth and prosperity.

The merry of spring comes from the image of growth associated with it. Following months of cold weather and even snow fall, new leaves and flowers begin to grow. Green grass grows and the natural process of growth begins. It is often associated with blossoms and merry chirping of birds. With the growth of agriculture and plant growth, it also creates a spirit of cheer. Often winter is associated with gloom and inactivity and spring marks cheer and transition in the spirit.

The weather in spring is warm in contrast to the chills of winter and the heat of summer. The wind is breezy and warm. This transition in weather is conducive of growth and natural bloom. There is increase in agricultural activity with increased pollination making it a period of productivity and plenty. The weather transition and the prosperity associated with this period make it one of the merriest and most loved of seasons.

Note: It is worth mentioning that during the month of the year, when there is spring season on the Northern Hemisphere, the portion of the earth in the Southern Hemisphere witnesses autumn season. (source: wikipedia)
