Khudiram Bose was a great lover of the country. He was born in Midnapore in 1889. From his boyhood he was spirited and had association with a revolutionary party. He actively participated in the Swadeshi Movement.
Young Khudiram tried to kill Mr. Kingsford, a Magistrate. Prafulla Chaki another revolutionary accompanied him. They threw bombs at the coach of the Mr. Kingsford. But Kingsford was not present in the car.
Khudiram was arrested and sentenced to death. The great patriot courted death heroically with ‘Vande Mataram’ in his lips. He is immortal as a great martyr for dedicating his life for the freedom of the country.
