Teachers’ Day - Speech
Teachers are our guardians to enlighten our future. Teachers are the ones who love us and accept us in our flaws too.
The teachers are the one who wishes to see our betterment. They are one who wants us to be successful. No doubt, but they have played a vast role in our lives so why not dedicate a day to them? Just to be thankful for the contribution they have done in our lives to make us a better citizen and also to be a good human. I am sure most people know that we are gathered here to celebrate teacher’s day but very few students know the reason behind celebration of this day.
Today I will explain the reason behind it. A very warm welcome to respected teachers and fellow students. Today on the auspicious occasion I got the golden opportunity to stand in front of you and give a speech on Teachers day.
Teacher’s day is celebrated on the 5th of September. It is celebrated because on this day DR. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born. He is considered to be the great teacher and researchers. He has played multiple roles in his life. He has also contributed in the government field after the independence of India also during the independence of India. He is the first vice president of India. Dr. Radhakrishnan also got the opportunity to teach or give lectures in higher and most expensive and famous university. He has played a big role in the development of India and its economy. He has also used his power and keep the problems of India in front of big platforms. From a student to the teacher then professor and then performing the role to run the country, Dr. Radhakrishnan has always been spectacular in his task. Also, he has advanced over multiple things and also taught many things and being rewarded and dignified my multiple prizes in the nation and internationally too.
Have we ever questioned to ourselves that who is the teacher? Most people feel like the one who asks us to read books and makes us write in a notebook are a teacher but it is not like that. The teacher is the one who teaches us moral values and helps us to be in a good citizen. Everyone feels like our first teacher is supposed to be the one who teaches us moral values. But in reality, our first teacher is our parents. They teach us to deal with society. They teach us how to walk, talk, stand, sit, and speak and other things. Without the nurture of parents, a child cannot perform any activity. They are first one who admires their kid what flow does he or she has and so on. They are always supportive of their kids. For the beginning years, parents are supposed to be the first teacher.
Then kids are supposed to be sent to schools where they interact with teachers where they learn to speak and write. They are taught alphabets, mathematics, language and other subjects regarding surroundings. Teachers get enough of patience and ability to deal with every kind of students. Along with teaching multiple subjects, the teacher teaches us moral values and life lessons. Also, they hold hand and make us capable enough to face each and every problem. Teachers are the potters of lives. We, students, are the clay. They shape our lives and the motive of their life is to give each and every one of us a better life.
When we look at Indian history, we see multiple examples and bonding of teacher and student. Such as ” Chandragupta and Chanakya” and other. In Indian history, teachers are referred to be as “Guru” and they are the most respected person after God.
At the last of my speech, I just want to say from all the students to all the teachers that we are grateful to have such a wonderful teacher in our life. We might trouble them. We might be the reason for their anger and frustration. But today we are apologizing for the trouble we made. We are really thankful to every teacher for showing faith in us and loving us unconditionally. Today if we are confident enough to speak in front of others should be considered as good citizens and considered to be one of the smart kids in society it’s just because of our teacher. We are happy and thankful for the investment done on us. Having multiple pressure on themselves but never made us felt like into trouble and teaching us with the same affection and patience. Teachers are the reason for a feeling school like another home because even here we get the same love and affection which we get at home. Every teacher care for us just like our parents do. The behaviour of our teachers is like our parents only. They took us like their own kids and never made us felt inferior. I personally feel extremely happy, thankful and lucky to have teachers like this because they have played multiple roles in life such as a teacher, a mother, a friend, an advisor and so on. Teachers are like the gem to us. We should never disrespect them nor hurt them. Respecting teachers is always equal to respect God. Teachers are the other face of God since God gave us life and teacher shows the way to live a better life and also show life with different aspects.
Thank you, everyone, to listening to my speech and giving your crucial time.
