Skandagupta
Skandagupta was a king of Gupta Dynasty. He came upon the throne after the death of his father, Kumaragupta. He ruled from 455 A.D. to 467 A.D. He successfully resisted the Huna attack and saved India from foreign clutches.
Dr. R.C. Majumdar rightly remarked of him as a ‘Savior of India’. After Skandagupta, the Gupta Empire was on the verge of decline.
