Short Paragraph on Lotus

The lotus is a large showy flower. It blooms in water, ion autumn it is found to bloom in tanks, ponds etc. there are different types of lotus. Some are big and some are small. The lotus has different colors such as white, pink, blue, red etc.

The lotus blooms in the morning. Its petals spread out when the sun rises. The lotus is very useful flower. Many medicines are made from lotus. Large leaves are used as a wrap for food.

Lotus is largely used in worshipping of God and Goddess. Most deities of Hindu religion are depicted as seated on a lotus flower. The lotus is the symbol of knowledge. The Buddhist the lotus represents purity of body, speech and mind. Lotus is our national flower. It is also the national flowers of Egypt and Vietnam.
