Promoting tourism is one of the best ways to increase the export of a country and it also increases the revenue of a country.
People travel different places to explore new areas. Some people choose travelling and tourism as their hobby. People also travel for their pleasure or some business stuff.
Importance of Tourism:
Travelling is a somewhat difficult and tiring thing. Because one has to plan everything before going out and it also takes money. Nothing is free in this world.

- Make you explore different places
- One can study the culture, traditions and food of places other than his native country.
- You don’t have to sit somewhere all the time.
- For many regions, it is the main source of their income.
- More employment opportunities open in the tourism sector.
- Companies which take tourists to different and new places across the world
- A fixed budget and a schedule is provided by them
- Make life easy for the tourists.
- Different packages are provided by them according to the financial conditions.
- It can be national or international tours.
This is only specific to a class of people who can afford this luxury and lifestyle. One can visit almost all the continents of the world. It is expensive and requires time. This also has some side effects as long travelling can cause you nausea and health problems.
Travel and Tourism is a very healthy habit and should be adopted by everyone even on a small scale.

Tourism – Essay 2.
Tourism means travelling to a different place for relaxation and sightseeing.
This kind of travelling is for leisure and fun.
The idea of going to some place is to relax or to learn by exploring new places or activities in those places.
Often people go to places with a comfortable climate for special treatments or for recovering from some illnesses.
Tourism brings in employment to the local people. They may be guides, or help with transport or a part of the hospitality industry i.e., restaurants, hotels, souvenir shops etc.
Income / Foreign exchange
The tourist spot brings in income to the local people as more tourists get attracted. It also gets foreign exchange if the place is attractive enough for foreign tourists.
Many tourist spots have special activities such as mountaineering, scuba diving, river rafting, which one doesn’t encounter in daily life.
One gets to taste a variety of food as a tourist. When travelling to foreign countries, your exposure to different cuisines and local ingredients expands.
Tourism is good for seeing and learning new things because it gets a fresh perspective to life, even as a break.

Tourism in India – Essay 3
Tourism in India is of great value to the government of India as they generate ₹15.24 lakh crore which is 9.4 % of India GDP in 2017 and the expectations are an annual growth rate of 6.9% annually. It benefits the tourist in the sense that it gives them more insight about India. In 2016, 8.89 million tourists visited India while in 2017, 10 million tourists visited India.
India covers a vast landmass with varied natural terrains. From Himalayan Mountains through Gangetic plains and Thar Dessert to the Deccan Peninsular plateau and the Coastal Plains it covers many climatic regions. Each has its own beauty to which people are drawn. Hill stations like Shimla, Beaches of Goa and Kerala and deserts of Rajasthan are the main tourist centers.
India is famous for its spiritual knowledge that arises from here. There are centers of this knowledge such as Varanasi and Vrindavan that beckon those that seek this knowledge.
The Taj Mahal ranks as the most visited monument. Beautiful Palaces and forts, such as those of Rajasthan and Mysore apart from the remains of Hampi and Khajuraho are places most visited for historical importance.

India has a lot to offer as a tourist destination, even now with many places untouched by the tourism industry. It is blessed with a lot of tourist attractions, and it is also of advantage to India GDP.
