Relationship between Greenhouse Effect and Global Warming

On December 10, 2016 By Sehba Category: Environment

There is close relationship between the phenomenon of ‘greenhouse effect’ and the resultant ‘global warming’ and ‘climate change’.

Greenhouse effect traps the incoming radiations of the sun. With the day by day depletion of the ozone layer, a higher volume of UV radiations enter the atmosphere.

As an active effect of the greenhouse effect, they remain trapped in the atmosphere and thereby, this leads to a raise in the temperature of the earth. This rise in the temperature of the earth is referred as Global Warming.

Greenhouses gases namely- Carbon Dioxide, Methane, Water vapour, Nitrous oxide and some other gases are responsible for this phenomenon.
