To travel is to move from place to place. It comes from the Middle English word ‘travailen’. Travailen meant to make a journey.

Merits of traveling

  1. Meeting new people.
  2. Experiencing new cultures.
  3. Trying new food.
  4. Learning a new language.
  5. Challenging your provincial point of view.
  6. Bonding with friends.
  7. Taking advantage of new job opportunities.
  8. Seeing the wonders of the world.
  9. Studying in a top university.

Disadvantages of traveling

  1. It can be expensive.
  2. Some countries can be dangerous to visit.
  3. It’s difficult if you do not know the language.
  4. You may not like the local cuisine.
  5. Who will look after your pets while you travel?
  6. Delays to trains, planes and other modes of transport can make travel unenjoyable.

Conclusion: It is perfectly possible to love your home and love to travel too.
