Forests check erosion and control rain-fall whereas different types of wild life and the insects control the forests. Though the wild-life excises a formidable influence on the ecology of the wilderness, we are losing the wild life these days; quite a number of wild species are gradually getting extinct. Hence, Wild life conservation is extremely important.
The Government of India have promulgated a number of such regulations which have made conservation of wild life effective and at the same time have helped some almost-extinct species to survive.
These laws and regulations are applicable effectively even beyond the wilderness. These laws have in addition to prohibiting hunting and catching birds, animals and reptiles, negated selling and buying of deadlocks.
