The largest film industry in the world is the Bollywood film industry, which is located in India (and, most specifically, in Mumbai). You will be amazed at the sheer number of Bollywood movies that are released every single year to great acclaim both at home and abroad.
Bollywood is a multi million dollar industry (this particular film industry is worth around $2. 5 billion to be more exact) and the Bollywood film industry produces between 1, 500 and 2, 000 films every year. That is at least four times more the 500 films that are produced on average by the US film industry (and that is counting all US made films, not just Hollywood films).
Bollywood films are popular both in India and abroad. In India, there are around 2.7 billion cinema admissions every year. That just goes to show that India is a true nation of cinema lovers as well as expert cinema makers.
