Air pollution caused by the emission of smoke, carbon dioxide, and other gases leads to a gas cover that has a greenhouse effect in the atmosphere. The heat produced by the sunlight or that generated in the atmosphere by different sources gets trapped in the atmosphere. This leads to a general warming up.

The effect of the warming up is a rise in temperature above the normal recorded temperatures.
