I have fond memories of my pet rabbit Coco. Coco was a white rabbit with brown ears. He was small, cuddly and cute. I loved Coco a lot and spent most of my childhood playing with him.
My pet rabbit was given to me by my father’s friend who rescues wild animals. I remember being very excited to get him as a pet.
Once I showed him our secure garden and he hopped around for a bit, he perked up. Coco was named Coco because his brown ears reminded me of cocoa seeds.
How my Pet Rabbit Changed Me:
I used to be a careless child in the beginning, but all this changed when I met Coco. Coco changed me by:
- Teaching me to take his responsibility
- Taking care of him
At first taking care of Coco was a challenging experience. I had never learned to take my responsibilities seriously. I often used to make a mess in the house with my toys. But I had to learn to clean up because Coco would get hurt if he stumbled across something with a sharp edge.
Because Coco was my pet he was under my care. I had to feed, clean and take care of him on time. If Coco got sick I had to take him to the vet. Coco was a little bundle of energy and very curious. He would often hop on furniture and sometimes push things over. I had to make sure Coco had the activity he needed to stay healthy without making a mess.
Coco was popular with my friends. They would come over often to play with him. Coco loved their visits because they brought them treats. My friends built a small play pen for Coco on his second birthday. Coco used to jump and play hide and seek in it for hours. It entertained everyone a lot. Coco was the apple of my eye and I loved him very much.
