My Favourite Sportsman (Sachin Tendulkar) - Essay 1.
Cricket has been the most successful sport for India. Indian team has been on top for many years now in cricket. Their constant habit to win has kept them on the zenith of the cricketing world. Over the years, India has produced some great cricketers who have baffled the cricketing world with some amazing performances. The greatest cricketer and, my favourite sportsman, Sachin Tendulkar is the most precious gem that India has produced. The little master. The master blaster. The God of cricket.
There are many epithets for this great personality. From the moment he stepped on the cricketing field as a 16 years old small bloke, he has continued to amaze the world with his performances.
I have grown watching him on the field and with the bat. The way he used to come to the crease and take the guard, the way he used to take the stance, the way he used to poise his back-lift, the way he used to follow through after his shots, I have been imitating him since my childhood. He is a born legend. The way he used to play fast bowlers like Glenn Mcgrath and Brett Lee was just superb. He used to move to the front foot and play strokes to these breathtaking fast bowlers! Nobody would play a better straight drive and cover drive than the little master himself! The way he used to shape his innings was just sheer class. He used to play in a very focused manner and he wouldn’t get exhausted because of batting for long hours. The hunger for scoring big and taking India home was untameable in him. He used to stand there until the victory is assured.
Though he was such a great player, and the whole world admired him, he never used to boast and brag about himself. He was very humble and modest. He was on the field just to play for his country and he never used to fight and sledge any other player. His loyalty towards the game and country made him the best cricketer in the whole world.
My Favorite Sportsman (Virat Kohli) - Essay 2.
Playing sports is exciting but sometimes watching them is equally fascinating. While I like to play football and tennis, I very much enjoy watching cricket on TV. The Indian cricket team is a very successful one with many victories to count. I am familiar with most of the team’s players but my favorite one is Virat Kohli. His playing skills and dedication make him a true
Virat Kohli is the captain of the Indian National cricket team and one of the best cricket players in the world. In fact, he is considered one of the best batsmen in the world. His tournament team is the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League where he has achieved great success. He is married to a beautiful and talented Bollywood star.
He is my favorite cricketer due to his game skills and excellence. He can singlehandedly change the outcome of a match and give victory to his team. His dedication and team spirit are also to be admired. He never plays for the sake of his own profile; instead, he focused on the team’s needs. A true captain, he is there to give instructions, help and make everyone give their best self for the team.
He has been named as the first batsman for India to score three successive centuries in ODIs. He also became the first captain from Asia winning the test match in both England and Australian fields, making him an example for younger cricketers.
I admire him for his game excellence and great skills but also for his charity work. He has his own charity named after him that aids poor and unprivileged children to get a better life. I believe that a great player is also a great person and his work for the community’s welfare proved exactly that. He has initiated auctions and events to raise money for the poor and those in need.
Virat Kohli is my favorite sportsman for his great style and accomplishments. He knows how to play not for his own glory but for the team’s victory and only. A great captain, he knows how to lead and assist when needed. Apart from that, he is a conscious person and a valuable member of the society. I like him from a very early age and would love to follow his example.
