The mango tree is a garden fruit tree grown in home gardens in tropical countries. It ripens during monsoon season and is exported worldwide at great profit. Mangoes only grow in places where summers last longer. Because of their sweet taste, they are a popular favourite among people.

Mangoes are rich in Vitamin C and E. They contain fibers which help in digestion, heart disease and other ailments. It also strengthens the immune system. Their juice is delicious and helps beat the summer heat. It is also known to help clear skin problems and aid in fighting cancer cells.

I enjoy my mother’s home-made mango pickles. I even use mangoes to garnish my salads. My brothers enjoy mango milkshakes and ice lollies made from the juice of Chaunsa.

Due to its growing demand farmers have begun to expedite its growth by coming up with better agricultural practices to ensure increased output of mangoes. Mangoes have their own cultural heritage in India. The Mughal emperors were known for growing mango trees and entertaining foreign guests with mangoes. Crates of mangoes have made for excellent gifts for centuries.

I love Chaunsa mangoes so much I have planted its sapling in my garden and tend to it every day. I hope the Chaunsa mango tree flourishes and bears lots of fruits so I can share them with my friends and family.
