Respect for elders - Short Essay
Elders in a family, society, community or a country are people who have a lot of experience and wisdom. This experience and wisdom need to be respected appropriately. Each culture and society has its different ways of looking at elders.
Some countries in the East like India, China, Asian countries look upon elders as authority figures. ‘Respecting elders’ is an integral part of daily life and social norms.
This has its benefits because younger generations are more open to learning from the experience and wisdom of the older generations. Whereas the older generations also feel cared for. Families are more caring about their elders, and so the problem of Senior Citizens is handled differently. Elders have a place in the family, home, and society even in the last stages of their lives.
