Introduction
An engineer is a person who invents or builds something having in mind the limits of its cost, safety and regulation.
Engineers are professionals in their field. It is derived from a Latin or Greek word ingeniare which means to create or devise something. Its standard education is 4 year of bachelors.
Purpose:
Scientific discoveries and their implications in the real world is the purpose of an Engineer.
Role of an Engineer:
- Design: It includes designing a stuff or material in a real or 3D stuff.
- Analyse: To check that whether the product is working in its optimum conditions or not. Analyze all its factors related to safety and other concerns. Moreover, cost and time are also estimated by them.
- Specialization or Management: This is another type or field for the Engineers. This usually comes under the quality control department and other management sections. It deals with applied physics
Types of Engineers:
There are many different types of fields in Engineering. Some of them are:
- Aerospace Engineering: It focuses on Aircraft and spacecraft.
- Architectural Engineering: It focusses on the building and its construction.
- Biomedical Engineering: It’s a bridge between medical and engineering.
- Chemical Engineering: This is concerned with the manufacture of chemicals.
- Civil Engineering: It is basically for construction purposes.
- Computer Engineering: It deals with the computer studies and all its parts.
- Electrical Engineering: Electronics and electro magnets are focused in this field.
- Industrial Engineering: It is based on the design and structure of the instruments.
- Mechatronics Engineering: Industrial field is focussed in this type of Engineering.
- Mechanical Engineering: Many different kinds of system are studied in this field.
- Mining Engineering: It is related to the mining and ore extraction.
- Software Engineering: Development and design of software are focused in this field.
- 13. Materials engineering: focus on the development of new materials.
