Procrastination - Short Essay.

Procrastination is the thief of time. To put things off on purpose is known as Procrastination. They look for distractions. They on purpose fall short on performance. Every person puts off his work for some time but these procrastinators are something else. This thing also involves the degree of self-deception. Things need to be done at some time in the life even some one is too lazy.

Waiting, Waiting?? Some people are very bad procrastinators. They cut their behaviour in all ways of life. This is very troubling like Insomnia, Gastro problems and nausea. This problem also worsens the relationship at home and at workplace.

Disadvantages of Procrastination: There are many adverse effects of procrastination: laziness, lethargic, rudeness, inability to achieve targets. Everyone goes through this phase in his life. If you don’t check your mails or bored of social media this is what known as procrastination. It’s a trap and many people fall in it. Most people procrastinate at some point in their life. This is very relaxing to know that you are not alone in this world but also see that how hard it can hold you back.

Procrastination and laziness: Many people confuse this term with laziness. But in fact both of these terms are very different. Procrastination is an active process in which you ignore one task deliberately and do something else. In case of laziness you don’t do anything. Everything is put aside. In procrastination a person chooses that task which gives more pleasure and leaves the other boring stuff. Small episodes of procrastination can make us feel awful afterwards when we are unable to achieve our goals. Our productivity is reduced by this.

There are many steps which one can follow if he has to overcome procrastination. Some of them are:

  • Step 1: Accept that you are Procrastinating?
  • Step 2: Recognise or find why are you procrastinating?
  • Step 3: Adopt more Anti-procrastinating Activities.

Conclusion: So avoid what your heart says. Think with your brains. Do everything with full attention and proper care. Prioritise your to do list. Update it every week. Bound yourself to the goals and achieve them in proper time. At the end become a master of making schedule.
