Fruits constitute the foods that are made available in nature. Although not necessarily all fruits available in nature are edible or consumable, fruits are generally associated with flavourful foods, especially for children.
Fruits are of various types and varieties. Every country has different fruits grown in its specific area and of different taste.
Mostly fruits are sweet in taste with some fruits being somewhat sour. Fruits should be eaten by everyone for their good health. “An apple a day keeps a doctor away” is a very famous saying.
Edible raw fruits
Edible fruits are generally sweet/sour and so very much liked by children and adults alike. Apples, bananas, oranges, pear, pineapple, cherries, etc. are the more commonly available fruits. They are loaded with vitamins and so considered ideal as a snack because of their tastefulness and the nutrient content.

Fruit products
Fruits can also be consumed in the form of juices, jellies, jams, and other preserves. Applesauce is a regularly consumed apple product. Compotes made out of peaches and plums are also popular for regular consumption. Fruits can be candied or dried to preserve longer.
Fruit salads make good meals or desserts. All cultures have their favorite recipes using fruits. Fruits shakes, ice-creams, sorbets and cocktails are of course very popular too.
Benefits of Fruits:
Fruits have very different types of benefits. They are very important for a balanced diet. One should eat fruit every day to be active physically and mentally. Some of them are:

- They are a rich source of vitamins and minerals.
- They are very tasty.
- They make you immune to different diseases.
- They help you fight against cancer.
- Preferably, consume fruits on a daily basis for a better life.
