Short Speech on ‘Jhansi ki Rani: Lakshmibai’

Category: Speech (English) On February 22, 2020 By Ananda

Good morning respected teachers and fellow students. Today in my speech I will talk about ‘Lakshmibai’ or ‘Jhansi ki Rani”.

Her real name was Manikarnika and her Nick name was Manu. She was born on 19 November,1828 In Varanasi and died in 18 June 1858 in Gwalior. She died in a very young age but still succeeded to create her own history. She was just 29 years old when she fought for her country last time.

Twenty-nine years of her life was extremely struggling. She was grown up as a warrior. She was interested in all the warrior activities. One of the favorite hobby of her was horse riding. She was so attached to horses. She even had three horses as her best friends.

She got home education including that she was also trained as warrior. For example she was taught to ride horse, sword-fight and so on. The basic credit to make Manu a warrior goes to the head of the district court since they have provided facilities to her. She got married in the age of 24 with the king of Jhansi and hence known as Queen of Jhansi.

Her love towards her country remained constant. She had played the role of one of the lead freedom fighter. She was one of the biggest threat to Britishers. Till her last breath she fought like a great warrior . In the last of my speech I will mention that she is big inspiration for us. We must learn just to save her country, she gave up her life too. We should also have this much love for our country

Thank you for listening to my speech.
