I am presenting my speech on Diwali beyond India.
Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is one of the most celebrated festivals in India. However, the tradition and culture of Diwali have spread beyond the borders of India and are becoming increasingly popular in many countries across the globe.
In the United States, Diwali has gained immense popularity in recent years as a result of the large Indian diaspora settled there. Diwali celebrations in the US are often accompanied by dance performances, traditional food, and vibrant fireworks displays.
In Canada, Diwali is celebrated with great enthusiasm and gusto in numerous cities across the country. The celebrations include cultural performances, mehandi art, and mouthwatering Indian food.
In the United Kingdom, the Hindu festival of Diwali is widely celebrated across several cities, and it is a popular event for people of all backgrounds. The famous Diwali lights in Leicester, which attract thousands of visitors every year, have become a celebrated tradition in the city.
In New Zealand, Diwali is becoming an essential part of the multicultural calendar. The festival is celebrated with traditional fervor in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, with people dressing up in ethnic attire, enjoying Indian delicacies, and lighting candles and diyas.
In Australia, Diwali is gaining popularity as it brings people from diverse backgrounds together to celebrate the festival of lights. The cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane are known for their Diwali celebrations, which include cultural performances, Indian food, and fireworks displays.
In conclusion, it is evident that the spirit and essence of Diwali are spreading beyond the Indian borders, and people from all backgrounds are embracing and celebrating the festival with enthusiasm and joy. The festival not only promotes the Indian culture and tradition globally but also brings people from diverse backgrounds together in a spirit of love, unity, and harmony.
