Location: Mouling National park is located in the Eastern Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is spread over an area of 483 sq. mm.
Connectivity: The nearest town from the park is Pasighat 16 km away situated on the right bank of river Siang. The nearest airport from the Mouling National Park is Dibrugarh. Dibrugarh is about 120 km from the park. The railway station at Murkongselek village is about 40 km from the Park.
Forests: The Park is covered with pristine evergreen and semi-evergreen forests guarded by three mountain ranges.Due to its inaccessibility it is a storehouse of bio-diversity. The presence of layers of moss and lichen covering rocks and branches of trees and tree ferns and screw pines shows the undisturbed status and excellent health of the park.
Fauna: The fauna found in the park are tiger, elephant, wild buffalo, leopard, snow-leopard, leopard cat, barking deer, golden cat, sambar, hog-deer, bear, wolf, python etc. The park has large variety of birds. Common among many birds are leafbird, drongo, white capped red start, white wagtail, cuckoo, etc. A large variety of insects and butterflies flourished here.
There is a lone circuit House at Jenging and a forest bungalow inside the park.
Best period: November to April is the best period for visiting the Mouling National Park.
